Buhurt is one of the world's fastest-growing combat sports, with millions of members worldwide and immense popularity in Europe. With their season on the line, the South Australian team Warhounds must battle through injuries, heatstroke, drama, and pure medieval epicenes to earn a place on the Nationals Podium.

"A real sport dating back to the 12th CENTURY"

Our documentary follows the South Australian team, Warhounds, as they compete in the 2024 Australian Buhurt season. Introducing all things Buhurt, including the rules, weapons, and armour we follow team captains, Dylan "Dinky" Di and Jarrod Salter as they coach the team through intense training sessions, both in and out of armour.

Their biggest test comes at the Barossa Tournament, designed to push the team to their limits and prepare the newer members for the National Tournament in Sydney. The team battles through the best in the country whilst dealing with injuries, heatstroke, drama, and pure medieval epicenes to earn a place on the podium.

"I believe Buhurt is a complete documentary that doesn't just document the club but transforms its story into an epic masterpiece of drama and action. You end up caring about the team and its best fighters. It introduces you to the sport, delivers action-packed montages, and then has you cheering when the season is on the line.

This 1-hour, 30-minute documentary represents two years of my life, and I haven't regretted a single moment.

My vision for this story is to introduce the sport to the world and show just how amazing it is and with the right opportunities, I believe it could become a series."
